About Qi Gong
The practice that I offer is a synthesis of my search for and research of the purest forms of Qi Gong, Kung Fu, and TaiJi over a span ten years in Greater China. I teach with the goal of accurately and efficiently disseminating core information without dragging out the study for financial gain. I do not keep secrets or entice students with mystery Chinese words ‘that can not be translated’. As my student you are a representative of my system that I want to flourish through you becoming proficient as soon as possible and teaching others as soon as possible. As an absolute beginner or long term practitioner of internal energy/martial arts, I guarantee profound improvement in short order through augmenting what you already have to ‘connect the dots’. People of all ages and interests are welcome.
It is very rare to find someone like Patrick in this day and age with a good level of authentic internal martial arts ability. Patrick is able to share his knowledge from over 10 years of training with masters in China. He can demonstrate it in person so students really experience the potential of these arts. Learning with hands on direct experience, and the methods to achieve it. I have trained under high level masters myself. I highly recommend Patrick to be part of your guide to the internals. It does not hurt that he is kind and generous with his knowledge

Qi Gong Services
Whether for health, combat, meditation, or movement, these are the basic practices to become proficient at using energy with my system:
- Standing Meditation
- Standing in various postures for 10-40 minutes cultivates the students condition, more time is required for martial aspirations. This irreplaceable activity is an effort to increase awareness, structural integrity, relaxation, micro-perception, wholeness, concentration, will, confidence, etc. A host of challenges will be encountered requiring the students dedication to perseverance. Confronting and tearing down psychological, emotional, and physical barriers will be unavoidable in this process, a process that makes you the best version of yourself. This is the core practice and everything else is secondary.
- Eight Piece Brocade
- Students will learn eight movements that open, clarify, and purify their internal meridians, through the use of gravity and levity interacting energetically inside of their body, this energy is also known as ‘jing’.
- This is a well known Qi Gong form even though it doesn’t directly involve consciously cultivating qi, however I do it in a specific fashion to tangibly feel the energy ‘jing’.
- Five Elements Fists
- The five Chinese elements, earth, gold, water, wood, and fire, are individually represented by specific postures, movements, and moving/static energetic images (this is what really moves qi). They are the predecessor of Taiji’s 8 action energies and should be understood as thoroughly as possible. If you understand these five energies you can do any martial art or physical movement with internal energy.
- I teach students all applicable aspects of the five elements in relation to Xing Yi Quan, as well as some related crossover in Yi Quan, and TaiJi Quan.
- Various walking patterns are also learned in relation to the Five Elements.
- Free Push Hands
- After the student has proficient base of knowledge and physical condition push hands is an activity designed to test and develop your skills in a non violent way. Students will push hands with me and each other to embody the practice or ‘make the Kung Fu theirs’.

Patrick is very kind and quite generous with his knowledge of Internal Martial Arts. I spent many years chasing the special methods required to open the “internal secrets” of kung fu. Patrick was kind enough to not only help me understand the correct methods but show me that what I was already practicing was also on the same path. His knowledge of Taichi and internal martial arts is outstanding and incredibly rare. After only a few interactions, I made tremendous leaps in my personal practices. I could not be grateful enough, I highly recommend seeing Patrick if you are interested in true Kung-fu and its special intricacies or his special knowledge of ROLFing and fascia healing. Many blessings
